Plot Synopsis:
This film is notable for Mariel Hemingway's star-making turn as an athlete training for the 1980 Olympics. Chris Cahill (Hemingway) is a supremely talented athlete whose competitive relationship with a fellow female athlete, Tory Skinner (Patrice Donnelly), turns. The situation becomes even more complicated by her coach's jealously of the close relationship between the two women, and a bitter triangle is formed that is set against the highly dramatic backdrop of rigorous athletic training.
