This powerful new production is based on the enormously popular Universal Pictures/Studio Canal film presenting the story of a boy who discovers he has a special talent for dance, while the boys all around him are more interested in boxing. Since opening on London's West End in 2005, it has won nine Best Musical awards and broken U.K. box office records. The show continues to sell out nightly. Billy Elliot the Musical is produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Jon Finn and Sally Greene and was created by the film's director, writer and choreographer, who are joined by music legend Elton John, one of the most celebrated pop songwriters of the last 30 years.
